PRESCRIPTIONS, REFERRALS, AND MEDICAL CERTIFICATES
Patients should consult with the doctor prior to prescriptions or referrals being issued. We will not, for medico-legal reasons, backdate referrals, so please check that you have a valid referral with your specialists before you see them. Medical certificates will only be issued with consultations.
In most cases, results will not be given over the phone. When an investigation is performed, e.g. x-ray or blood tests, we advise patients to make an appointment to discuss results. If normal, Pap smear results will be mailed to your preferred address.
Our surgery does not use an email address to correspond with patients, specialist services or other institutions. We require that you phone the surgey for information or use our fax details to send us your correspondence.
