PRIVACY ISSUES

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. If you wish to obtain a copy of your personal health record, or part thereof, please ask the receptionist or doctor. You will then be asked to fill in a form regarding this.

FEEDBACK

We believe that problems are best dealt with within the practice. If you have feedback to share with our team or if you have had a negative experience when visiting our practice, we would like to know. Please get in touch to discuss any problems with your doctor or our Practice Manager. Alternatively, you may want to write to us via email. 

All complaints are taken seriously and you can remain anonymous if you wish. However if you feel there is a matter you wish to take up outside the practice, you may contact:

PRESCRIPTIONS, REFERRALS, AND MEDICAL CERTIFICATES

Patients need to consult with the doctor prior to prescriptions or referrals being issued. For medico-legal reasons we will not backdate referrals. Please check that you have a valid referral to your specialists before you see them. Medical certificates will only be issued with consultations.

RESULTS

In most cases, results may be given over the phone by way of a Telehealth consult. Reception are not permitted to provide any results, as an appointment with the doctor is needed. When an investigation is performed, such as a scan or blood test, patients need to make an appointment with the doctor to obtain their results. Please book a suitablet time through our online booking platform (HotDoc ) or by phoning reception.

If normal, Pap smear results will be mailed to your preferred address.
